PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION

After giving birth, all your pelvic and abdominal muscles are weakened. The degree of tone loss will depend on your body, your medical history and how many previous pregnancies you had. It is highly recommended that all women who have recently given birth do some level of pelvic floor rehabilitation or at the very least have a thorough check up with a women's health specialist to avoid complications later (most common being sensitive bladder, incontinence, sexual issues, prolapse).

Post natal rehabilitation starts with a thorough and complete assessment. The specialist will then talk you through her findings and the rehabilitation program which can include abdominal rehabilitation (yes, that means a flatter tummy) as well as post natal pilates or yoga.
